Multidisciplinary artist with a love for rhythm, words and the raw power of the voice. Musician, poet, playwright, performer.
Tom Di Bella is a genre-blurring musician and poetic storyteller moving between acoustic hip hop, psychedelic folk, and neo-soul. Everything is created in real time in the room: a loop station captures his love of harmony and beatboxing drives the music with percussive force. Groove and soulful vocals build the garden where his mind-bending lyricism blooms.
A dyslexic poet, Tom brings a curious, theatrical relationship to language and meaning to everything he makes. Sprinkles of improvisation blend with pre-made pieces to create authentic moments that resonate long after the last loop fades.
His art has travelled from friends' living rooms to Burning Man, from international theatre tours in China to Alex and Allyson Grey's Chapel of Sacred Mirrors (CoSM). Tom is a Director of Junkyard Beats and co-writer/performer of JUNKLANDIA, nominated for Best Kids Show at Melbourne Fringe. Last Stop on the Thought Train is his debut solo show.
Very powerful.

Creation · Solo Show
A live-looping poetic journey through the mind and Self. Soulful vocals, surreal spoken word, music, and comedy. Revel in the relatability, vanish into the vulnerability.
Built live from loops, beatbox and voice, the show follows Tom's own journey through the highs and lows: mental health and addiction, depression and elation, and the revelations that arrive somewhere in between. It doesn't dodge the hard parts, and it doesn't stay there either. The laughs are as honest as the rest of it.

Creation · Kids Show
Siblings from the faraway planet JUNKLANDIA embark on a mission to Earth to teach the earthlings the Junklandian ways of music and creative recycling. A spectacle of drumming, dance, circus and comedy, told in a language of gibberish and rhythm so it reaches any age or nationality. It ends with a JUNK Orchestra — every audience member handed a recycled instrument to build a one-of-a-kind junkyard band. Co-written and performed with Junkyard Beats; toured Naarm / Melbourne and Adelaide Fringe, with a nomination for Best Kids Show at Melbourne Fringe.
Starring in
Four quirky misfits turn everyday junk — wheelie bins, kitchen scraps, plastic bags — into an electrifying symphony of beats and rhythm. An abandoned kitchen becomes a drum set, plastic bags turn into instruments, and the human body becomes a sound machine. The cast speak in "Rhythmish", a playful language of rhythm and gibberish, so it lands with any age or nationality. Directed by Nigel Turner-Carroll, written by Oded Prior and Nigel Turner-Carroll. Critics' Pick at Sydney Fringe 2018, Best of Kids and Family at Adelaide Fringe 2026, and nominated for Best Kids Show at Edinburgh Fringe 2025.

Performance group turning JUNK into FUNK
An award-winning Australian ensemble turning ordinary junk into extraordinary funk. Founded by Oded Prior in Sydney in 2015 as a street show, the group now performs in major theatres, festivals, schools and events across Australia and internationally — including tours of China, Dubai and Edinburgh. The work blends drumming, body percussion, dance, junk percussion, circus and hilarious skits, alongside workshops that turn buckets into drums and bottles into shakers.
Tom is one of the Directors of Junkyard Beats, steering the group's shows, sound and direction.
